James was inspired to stand for the seat of Hunter after volunteering in the recent NSW State Election Campaign, where he saw the positive response of many voters towards policies to protect animals.
James is passionate about sport, and runs a tennis coaching business in schools which promotes active, healthy lifestyles for children. He loves caring for animals, and has an adopted cat and dog.
The 2019 Federal Election comes at a critical moment for animal rights – James sees this campaign as an opportunity to inject the core values of Kindness, Equality Rationality and Non-Violence into the mainstream political conversation, which is becoming dominated by the language of division and self-interest.
“A key concern for me is live animal exports – I support calls to end this cruel practice, and increased investment in ethical trade opportunities for our agriculture industry.”
James is running for Parliament to be a voice to the voiceless and fight for better world for all – for animals, people and the environment we share.
