🕔 5:00pm
📍 Wentworth Park, Wentworth Park Rd, Glebe NSW 2037

We invite you to join us in a peaceful and inclusive protest as we take a stand against the Million Dollar Disgrace. Together with our supporters, fellow animal advocates and aligned organisations, we’ll send a united message that greyhound racing must end.
Every week in Australia, more than two greyhounds lose their lives on racetracks, victims of an industry built on cruelty and exploitation. It’s time to say enough is enough.
Our incredible lineup of speakers includes:
- Emma Hurst MLC, Animal Justice Party
- Kylie Field, Coalition for the Protection of Greyhounds
- Dr Kate Adams, Bondi Vet and Real Housewives of Sydney
- Abigail Boyd MLC, Greens
- Senator Mehreen Faruqi, Greens
- Jess Miller, Deputy Lord Mayor of Sydney (representing Lord Mayor Clover Moore)
- Alex Greenwich MP, Independent
- Jacqui Scruby MP, Independent
Expect passionate voices, important collaborations and a community of people who refuse to stay silent in the face of cruelty.
✊ Show decision‑makers that we want an end to greyhound racing.
🕯️ Honour the lives lost and demand a better future for every dog.
📢 Bring your banners, your voice and your compassion.

BRING BACK THE BAN ON GREYHOUND RACING
📅 Friday 17th October 2025
🕔 5:00pm
📍 Wentworth Park, Wentworth Park Rd, Glebe NSW 2037

WE WON'T BACK DOWN. NO MORE CHANCES. GREYHOUND RACING MUST BE OUTLAWED.

“It’s really time that we bring back the ban on greyhound racing in New South Wales, because we’ve seen so many greyhounds killed since that ban was reversed,”
- Emma Hurst MP
Greyhound racing is on its last legs around the world and it’s time NSW joined the growing list of governments putting animal welfare ahead of gambling industry profits.
In just the past year:
Tasmania announced a phase-out, making it the second Australian jurisdiction to ban greyhound racing, after the ACT’s 2018 ban.)
New Zealand announced a national phase-out.
Wales committed to banning greyhound racing.
The U.S. now has just one commercial greyhound racing track left, and politicians from both major parties are urging Australia to follow.
Meanwhile, here in NSW, 17 dogs died on racing tracks in 2024. Over 4,200 on-track injuries were reported. And millions in public money continue to prop up this cruel industry.
The statistics keep getting worse: in the first half of 2025, at least 26 greyhounds have died after NSW racing incidents, with almost 2000 injuries recorded - the highest injury rate in Australia.
