We have a lot to talk about and a lot to do for the animals.

​Probably the most concerning issue y​ou may have heard about is the NSW Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party proposed Game and Feral Animal Control Amendment (Conservation Hunting) Bill 2025​. This Bill will greatly increase the ability of hunters to enter crown land including public reserves and parks and engage in what the SFF calls "conservation" hunting of so-called feral animals. The Bill has been referred to an inquiry and submissions are invited from the public. The closing date for submissions is 4 August 2025. To lodge a submission, click here. We will be discussing submission preparation in our meeting.

​We are also working hard to encourage 10,000 people to add their name to a petition calling on the NSW Parliament to set an end date for battery cages for hens. We'd like to reach this target by the middle of August. To sign the petition and help Free the Hens, please click here.
