What we campaign on:

• 🦘 World Kangaroo Day protests and following up local business that sell kangaroo meat
• 🌳 Forest in Danger activities at Cumberland State Forest to protest the land clearing destruction at West Pennant Hills
• 🐕 Winter Drive: collecting and delivering supplies to animals in regional and remote pounds in NSW
• 🐨 Alerting local councils to the adverse effects of council-proposed sporting and recreational developments on Australian wildlife in urban forested areas
• 🚫 Persuading local councils and the National Parks and Wildlife Service to use more humane strategies for managing "feral" animals in reserves and National Parks, rather than 1080 poison
• 🏛️ We also encourage our members to make submissions into Parliamentary inquiries established by Emma Hurst such as puppy farms, battery chickens, dairy, kangaroos, horse racing, greyhound racing, and animal experimentation 📜🏛️🐶🐔🦘🏇

Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 7:00pm to 8:00pm via a combination of Zoom meetings and in-person dinners at vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants in North Western Sydney. We discuss current animal welfare issues, submission-writing to parliamentary inquiries into animal issues, and plan activities to educate the community about AJP's work.
