Please join us at Manly Beach opposite the Corso to call for the Protection of Kangaroos on World Kangaroo Day.
Let's celebrate their iconic beauty and advocate for their protection, not persecution. Over the past 20 years, kangaroo populations have dropped by 48%.
We must fight against outdated colonial attitudes and the spin perpetuated by those who stand to gain in some way from the horrific treatment inflicted upon our beautiful kangaroos.
We have informative flyers to hand out to passersby and a great opportunity to engage in conversation with other animal lovers who know we must put a stop to the largest land based massacre of a native animal in the world. We also have a banner and Corflutes that can be either held by attendees or simply on display.
We love and respect kangaroos, wallabies, paddy melons and their joeys and we want them celebrated and protected, not left fighting for survival against development, commercial shooters, shooters who kill for 'fun' and property owners.
We must fight against the prejudice, outdated attitudes, industry speak and learn to live in harmony with our wildlife. Please advocate for all Macropods.
Police approval pending.
