Please join us to call for a ban on 1080 Poisoning on the Northern Beaches.
Help hand out flyers and collect written signatures on SUNDAY 21st APRIL, 2024. 9 to 11 am at Hinkler Park Dog Off-leash Area on Pittwater Road Manly.
MEET at Lagoon Carpark, Manly Entrance which is a little way past the Hinkler Park entrance on Pittwater Rd.
We are raising awareness about the indiscriminate use of the chemical poison known as 1080, a lethal toxin used in baits to control pest animals in the bush, including foxes, rabbits, and dogs, among others. This dangerous substance not only poses a threat to wildlife but also to our domestic pets and native animals.
Our aim is to collect signatures to petition the Northern Beaches Council to ban the use of 1080 and encourage investment in non-lethal alternatives for pest control.
We must protect the biodiversity and natural beauty of our beloved Northern Beaches while promoting safe and humane alternatives to manage introduced animals who predate upon native wildlife.
Your presence is crucial to the success of removing the use of 1080 from council owned and managed land to create a safer environment for us all.
Please stand with us united in the fight against 1080 poisoning- it is such an indiscriminate killer.
