Macquarie Blue Mountains Local Group

Welcome to the Animal Justice Party Blue Mountains and Macquarie. We are an active group of over 150 members all interested in better outcomes for Animals, People and Planet.

We advocate on local, State and Federal issues that affect our wonderful Blue Mountains and World Heritage Areas.

🌍 Local Issues:

🏘️ Stopping Over-Development: Preventing the erosion of quality of life for both people and nature.

🚧💧 Warragamba Dam: Opposing the proposed raising of Warragamba Dam due to potential damage to Indigenous culture, native animals, and crucial habitats.

✈️🌳 Badgerys Creek Airport: Fighting for curfews on aviation to ensure flight paths do not negatively impact residents' quality of life, native animals, and the unique biodiversity of the Blue Mountains through noise and pollution.

🌏 State and Federal Issues:

⚠️🌡️ Climate Change Action: Urging immediate governmental action to combat climate change.

🌱🚜 Humane Agriculture: Advocating for a transition from industrial agriculture to more humane and environmentally sustainable practices.

🚢🛑 Live Export: Calling for an end to the cruel live export industry.

🌲🦘 Protecting Koalas: Ending industrial logging and safeguarding koala habitats.

🦘❌ Wildlife Slaughter: Putting an end to the commercial slaughter of wildlife, including kangaroos and possums.
