BRING BACK THE BAN ON GREYHOUND RACING
In March, Wales and Scotland passed legislation to end greyhound racing. Just over two weeks later, in April, New Zealand did the same.
🚨 Australia is now home to the largest greyhound racing sector in the world, and NSW has more tracks than any other state.
In 2025 alone, 287 greyhounds were killed racing across Australia and over 10,000 injuries were recorded.
The ACT banned greyhound racing in 2017, Tasmania is in the process of legislating a phase-out, New Zealand has just passed legislation to end it, and Wales and Scotland have both passed their own bans. NSW is being left behind as one of the last jurisdictions still allowing commercial greyhound racing.
Animal Justice Party MP Emma Hurst has relentlessly fought for greyhounds in the NSW Parliament. Now there's an opportunity to help. By emailing your local MP, you can help make sure they know what's happening and push them to take action.
✍️ Take action now. Tell your MP it's time to phase out greyhound racing in NSW and stop funding this cruel industry with taxpayer money.
