Join Us to Speak Up for Animals: Peaceful Protest against Rodeo at Blacktown

We’ve recently learned that a two-day rodeo is scheduled to take place at the Blacktown Showground on Friday and Saturday, 17–18 April 2026.

Rodeos are often promoted as harmless “family entertainment,” but the reality for animals is very different. These events can cause serious physical and psychological harm to animals, and they also put human participants at risk of catastrophic injuries. This kind of spectacle has no place in our community — especially not as something marketed to children.

That’s why we’re organising a peaceful and family-friendly protest, and we’d love you to join us.

Even an hour of your time can make a difference — and it’s always more motivating when we stand together.

Warm regards,

Carmen Terceiro
