Golden Slipper Race Day Protest

Last year, as advocates for horses gathered outside Rosehill Racecourse on Golden Slipper Race Day, tragedy struck on the track. A young mare, Tintookie, suffered a catastrophic leg injury and was killed. She was just four years old, having been raced relentlessly since she was two.

This was not an isolated incident - horse racing pushes these animals to their limits, forcing them to compete at an age when their bodies are still developing. The result? Broken bones, exhaustion, and far too many lives cut short.

Join us, alongside Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses, Animal Liberation, Nup to the Cup, and Vegan Action Sydney, as we return in Tintookie’s memory, standing against the exploitation and suffering of racehorses. Let’s ensure her death was not in vain by raising awareness and demanding change.
