I joined AJP in 2014 after volunteering as an intern at Farm Sanctuary in the USA for 2-3 months in 2013. It changed my life, both in change of diet and lifestyle after learning the dark side of animal agriculture. I have a bachelor of arts in psychology from Macquarie uni and I was involved with the Forest in Danger campaign to protect the 25ha site at West pennant Hills to over recent years. I was AJP regional group leader in 2021 and 2022. I have a therapy dog and visit an aged care facility with her fortnightly.
I have lived in this beautiful area for over 30 years and raised my two daughters here.
I am running as the candidate for Hornsby to:
- Protect our local bushland from over development
- Fight for action on climate change
- Introduce Veticare - financial support for low income residents to help them care for their beloved pets
- Bring back the ban on greyhound racing
- End the use of the deadly poison 1080
