Sheila Millgate, Hornsby

I joined AJP in 2014 after volunteering as an intern at Farm Sanctuary in the USA for 2-3 months in 2013. It changed my life, both in change of diet and lifestyle after learning the dark side of animal agriculture. I have a bachelor of arts in psychology from Macquarie uni and I was involved with the Forest in Danger campaign to protect the 25ha site at West pennant Hills to over recent years. I was AJP regional group leader in 2021 and 2022. I have a therapy dog and visit an aged care facility with her fortnightly.

I have lived in this beautiful area for over 30 years and raised my two daughters here.

I am running as the candidate for Hornsby to:

  • Protect our local bushland from over development
  • Fight for action on climate change
  • Introduce Veticare - financial support for low income residents to help them care for their beloved pets
  • Bring back the ban on greyhound racing
  • End the use of the deadly poison 1080

Donate - Give animals a political voice!

In four years' time, we will go to the polls again. We will be competing against the major parties who have big bucks from corporate and industry donors - but we have you and with you we are powerful. Any donation you can make will help us buy posters, pay for radio ads, and social media promotion. We have already proven how successful a minor party can be - help us get our next MP elected.
