Michelle Buckmaster

Michelle Buckmaster is the Animal Justice Party Candidate for Port Stephens this state election. She strongly believes the most effective way to drive a positive change for animals and the environment is through the political platform.

Michelle considers the Port Stephens wildlife a big part of the community and wants to drive more initiatives to address the current issues. This includes taking urgent action to save the koalas and increasing the measures to protect the wildlife in marine parks.

A Port Stephens resident, along with her husband and rescue cat Annie, Michelle has a career in change management. She has been involved in animal rights and environmental organisations for over 20 years and volunteers for animal welfare and homeless and youth charities in her spare time.

Michelle has been an active member of the Animal Justice Party for six years and is committed to its values and creating a kinder world for all.

Donate to the 2023 State Election

On March 25, NSW will go to the polls for our state election. We need to ensure that we get another MP elected to replace Mark Pearson who is retiring. We are competing against the major parties who have big bucks from corporate and industry donors - but we have you and with you we are powerful. Any donation you can make will help us buy posters, pay for radio ads, and social media promotion. We have already proven how successful a minor party can be - help us get our next MP elected.
