Across NSW, dogs are being imprisoned in puppy farms, held in barren cages, treated as breeding machines and deprived of love and affection.
Puppies born into this industry often suffer from disease, stress and trauma, while their mother is held alone and constantly re-impregnated to produce more puppies for profit.
Dogs on puppy farms are held in horrific conditions, usually in small, overcrowded and dirty cages where they cannot play, walk, or express normal dog behaviours. This cruel industry continues to exist because our laws allow them to be hidden from public view: many people will only ever find out where their beloved family dog came from if they visit the breeder directly.
Together with our members and supporters, we are campaigning to put an end to this cruel
industry and ensure that all dogs are given the best start in life from the moment they are born.
