Greg Pointing

My corporate career spanned 20+ years in Information Technology and Enterprise Transformation working across global clients at senior management level. In 2014 everything changed when I retired from corporate life and became a wildlife rescue and rehabilitator for Australian native wildlife. My passion for wildlife grew as I was exposed to systemic mistreatment of wildlife and impact on their environment due to the attitude by the government departments and institutions that profit from the mistreatment of our wildlife.

I found my calling when I started volunteering for Southern Cross Wildlife Care in Braidwood and my passion for veterinary science was ignited. Studying a vet nursing certificate at TAFE NSW and being mentored by Australia’s leading wildlife vet Dr Howard Ralph OAM is a dream come true!

I am passionate about educating the community in workshops and volunteering at vet clinics each week to raise the profile of our wildlife and how we need to protect them

Being an active AJP member for a few years I was encourage to run as a candidate to be a voice for animals and the environment. My main platforms being, our kangaroos, the RSPCA no longer being the voice for animals and land clearing

I run a wildlife refuge to rehabilitate orphaned and injured wildlife with my wife in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
